Language creates reality — but can it also create unreality? Words create order and form a system within language — but can they also create chaos and become unsystematic? Language is all we have, but what does it take from us? Words give us the possibility of meaning, but what happens when language becomes meaningless?

Background 

This work is the result of a single, continuous six‑hour process in which a programme generates sentences and allows the language to shift, fracture and dissolve. Throughout the process, a log file is created, recording the entire sequence exactly as it unfolds. Each run is unique: the movements, breaks and dissolutions within the language occur only once and cannot be reproduced. 

The log file is an autonomous outcome of the process. It is not an interpretation or a form of documentation, but a direct registration of the linguistic progression in this particular run. Each log file is therefore an independent work — a singular event in the dissolution of language. 

The digital work forms part of the cycle 5, in which each piece examines dissolution, absence, and the point at which meaning ceases. This run is one such event.
